School presentations vary according to age and faculty goal but generally include an author reading, powerpoint presentation, an appearance by Tickles Tabitha (provided there is a volunteer secured by the school or organization to wear the costume), a chance to try on Cancer-tankerous Mommy's wigs, a cancer awareness craft and a question and answer session.

Crack Open a Book is designed specifically for schools, but the presentation may be adapted to fit the needs of health care educators and other groups and organizations interested in promoting cancer awareness. Teacher's workshops are also available. Other author presentations are available upon request.

School book sales need to be made prior to the visit so as to allow time for personalization and autographing. A master copy of the order form will be provided.

Nutcracker Publishing will donate one copy of Tickles Tabitha's Cancer-tankerous Mommy to the school as well as 10% of all sales generated by the book. This amount will be made as a donation back to the school's sponsoring classroom, media center, or parent/teacher organization.

Rates start at $400.00 per classroom visit plus expenses.

The Tickles Tabitha Character is available to appear at any community, corporate, or healthcare event upon request. A $100.00 deposit must be paid in advance and will be deducted from total payment.
